Quarteira
A residential area, but still has many restaurants and shops along the ocean. Recently the city has closed of part of the ocean front street to allow restaurants and bars to set up tables outside, this is great
because if you live or rent by this street you don't have to deal with the noises and pollution from cars, all you hear is the waves crashing along the
beach.... It is also great because you have the whole street to walk on, sit on the benches along the beach and enjoy some pastries from one of the best pastry shop in Portugal.more on Quarteira at..... QuarteiraSights

love the pictures.
the one of the avenue, are those handlaid stones?
i had heard about this, but wow thats a big street. Was it really all laid by hand ? or is it now a machine that does it.
Yes they still use hand labor to lay down those little stones.
All the patterns you see, are made with coloured stones, it is not painted on afterwards.
Ill post some pictures of this proccess, so check back.
