Beaches in
To windsurfing, cold or warmer waters, family beaches with all amenities, to
the unexplored beaches, for those who prefer nature’s unspoilt beauty.
In the western areas its beaches are surrounded by steep rock cliffs with spectacular
panoramic views from the cliffs, and many housing caverns and caves. most of the
beaches are more towards the wind/surfing side due to the westerly winds, although
there are some that are protected thru natural barriers providing excellent swimming
and sunbathing.

pine trees, or back dropped by sand dunes.
Snorkeling and Scuba diving are enjoyed thru out the coast and fishing is also possible.

Red flag with checkered. no bathing, no swimming, life guard off duty
Yellow flag with checkered. bathe with caution, no swimming, life guard off duty.
Red flag. no bathing or swimming.
Yellow flag. bathe with caution, no swimming.
Green flag. bathing and swimming allowed.
Blue flag. flag of quality, distinguishing the effort by several entities to improve
the enviroment, safety and information to beachgoers.

the beaches, oh werent they nice. ill update on more of the beaches we visited in algarve. they had every type from private undisturbed to public and very busy. the publics ones have showers and bathrooms and little coffee shops. and be ready to see some great, almost endangered, species, from birds to fish. any animals watchers dream. some you have to be ready to walk a while has there is no access to them by car.
